Biratnagar: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lal Babu Pandit, today said people's representatives should work to meet the aspiration of the people.
"Instead of selling dreams, they (people's representatives) should make positive impacts in the society through their performance," he said while laying the foundation stone for a community building at Buddha Chowk in Biratnagar-6. He also pledged to make Biratnagar the second city behind Kathmandu by developing necessary infrastructure, while calling for all communities to join hands to retain history of the city.
"Development activities and prosperity would be achieved through social and political harmony." Likewise, central members of the Nepal Communist Party Binod Dhakal and Mahesh Regmi viewed that conservation of languages of various communities, religion, culture and costumes would help bring prosperity in the country.
The building to be constructed by the Muslim Community Centre costs approximately Rs 180 million. The building will have 45 rooms including a prayer hall for Muslim followers, two assembly halls accommodating 250 people and a parking lot. RSS
