Lawmakers call for beefing up security

Kathmandu: Lawmakers speaking today in the 'zero hour' of the House of Representatives, the lower house of the Federal Parliament, called on the government to beef up security and the law and order in the country. 

Managing the market for the goods produced by the inmates, increasing the subsidies in agriculture sector, giving the utmost priority to the construction of road infrastructure in Karnali province were among the many issues they voiced in the parliament session. 

Similarly, lawmakers also stressed on upgrading the Dharke-Sitapaila road which is an alternative to Naubise-Nagdhunga road. 

Appreciating the government's decision of converting into central hospitals the Bheri Zonal Hospital and the Sushil Koirala Cancer Hospital, they demanded increasing the facilities and medical equipment at these hospitals. 

Lawmakers Bhumi Tripathi, Maheshwar Jung Gahatraj, Mayadevi Neupane, Mohan Baniya, Yagya Bahadur Bogati, Yagya Raj Sunuwar, Yasoda Gurung Subedi, Rangamati Shahi, Rajendra Kumar Rai and Ram Bahadur Bista spoke in the zero hour session today. RSS
