Chitwan: Nepali Congress has been training its leaders and cadres at local level in the district in the wake of its poor performance in the last elections.
The trainees during the sessions will be informed of decisions taken during the recently-held NC Mahasamiti meeting, and the government's activities, said NC Chitwan President Jit Narayan Shrestha. Each sitting will have minimum 10 local NC leaders and cadres including at least 40 percent of women. The training sessions started last month, said Shrestha.
The trainer for the session that took place in Madi on January 26 was NC central member Gagan Kumar Thapa. Likewise, NC leaders Mahesh Acharya and Badri Pandey instructed at another session that took place in Rapti Municipality on February 2.
Another session is taking place in Bharatpur on February 19. Likewise, preparations were underway to arrange other sessions in Ratnanagar Municipality, Kalika Municipality and Ichhakamana Rural Municipality, said the NC.RSS
