FNJ RSS chapter announces Awards, Nepal and Gautam selected for journalism award

Kathmandu: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), National News Agency (RSS) Chapter has decided to present this year's the 'RSS Journalism Award-2075 BS' to RSS senior correspondent Bishnu Prasad Nepal and Sub-Reporter Niraj Gautam. 

A meeting of the Chapter took the decision to this effect after the recommendation of the Award Selection Committee. 

The annual award carries a purse of Rs 10,000 each and a letter of felicitation. Nepal has been contributing to the news service of the RSS by writing news covering various beats such as parliamentary affairs, security, health and politics.\ for one and half decades. 

Similarly, Gautam, who is also the RSS Nepalgunj Office Chief of Province 5, has been dispatching news from the western part of the country for more than two and a half decades. 

The Awards will be distributed to the winners amidst a special ceremony marking the RSS's anniversary scheduled on February 19. 

Likewise, FNJ RSS Chapter has decided to honour former Chairperson and General Manager of RSS, Radheshyam Bista. The FNJ RSS Chapter has been honouring its former employees with this honour every year. 

Similarly, RSS stringer in Udayapur, Hari Kumari Rai, has been nominated for the 'Umakanta- Geetadevi- Chandramani Memorial Award.' 

The prize carrying a purse of Rs 5,000 was instituted by RSS journalist Narayani Rajaure (chief of RSS Rapti Zonal office, Dang) in memory of her the late father Umakantaa Rajaure, mother Geetadevi Rajaure and younger brother Chandaramani Rajaure. 

The annual award is presented to one moffusil stringer on the basis of work performance. RSS
